Horror Movies

Horror movies find various ways to create fear, such as depicting human violence (suspense, splatter), those dealing with psychic phenomena (occult, ghost stories), and attacks by monsters (monsters, science fiction, panic). Horror movies have several sub-genres. Among them are 1) Body Horror, 2) Found Video and 3) Slasher Films.


An example of Body Horror is Orphan (2009), directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and starring Isabelle Fuhrman. This is an American Horror Movie. This movie depicts the tragedy caused by a beautiful girl Esther who was adopted by a family. Esther's eerie behavior, which escalates day by day, begins to cause anxiety and fear.







An example of Found Video is REC (2008) directed by Jaume Balaguero and starring Manuela Velasco. This is a Spanish movie, a mockumentary film taken subjectively with a video camera. Reporters accompanied firefighters in to a building. But what they saw there were unknown infectious and ferocious people. The buildings were closed and they were quarantined along with the infected.







An example of Slasher Films is A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010), directed by Samuel Bayer and starring Rooney Mara. This is an American movie and a remake version of the first series released in 1984. The film depicts the horror of Freddy Krueger, He is a murderer who attacks people in a dream. A murderer with sharp iron claws.
